Safety.
Before making a stroke or practicing, a player should confirm the range of the swing and that nobody remains standing where they can be hit by the ball, stones, or branches brought along by the swing.
Consideration for other players.
A player should not tee off until it is his turn to play. When other players are about to make a stroke or are in the process of striking, due consideration should be shown so that play is not disturbed by movement, talking, or noise. Players should not stand close to or right behind the ball or the hole when another player is about to play. Players should not play until the players in front are out of the way.
Pace of play.
For the common interest of all players, all shall play without delay. On discovering a ball cannot be found easily, a signal shall be given to inform the following group to play first. Players should not search for the ball for five minutes before signaling. The group may resume play only after the following group has played through and is out of striking range. After playing a hole, players should leave the area immediately. A trailing group that loses a clear hole behind the group in front should invite the group behind to play through first to avoid delaying that following group.
