Miguel Angel Jiménez.

Miguel Angel Jiménez is the fifth of seven brothers in a golfing family. The oldest brother, Juan, is the head professional at Torrequebrada Golf Club and is also Miguel Angel’s coach. All of the Jiménez boys were caddies and Miguel Angel followed in their footsteps. He didn't begin playing until the age of 15, but once he started, success came in a hurry.

By 1992 Jiménez had won his first tournament, the Piaget Open in Belgium. He won four times in 1998 and 1999 and was the assistant to captain Seve Ballesteros on the European Ryder Cup team in 1997. Jiménez had a career best season in 2004, winning four times including sweeping the BMW golf events at the BMW Asian Open and BMW International Open.

Nicknamed ‘The Mechanic’, Jiménez has a preference for driving, rather than repairing high performance vehicles, especially his gleaming red Ferrari.
